Port professionals tee off for charity, driving community impact across Felixstowe and beyond

The 6th Annual FPUA Charity Golf Day held on 23 May 2025 at Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club proved once again why it’s a firm favourite in the local logistics calendar – raising an incredible £13,000 for a range of regional and national charities.

This year’s total brings the overall amount raised by the FPUA Golf Day over the past six years to an outstanding £54,500, a testament to the generosity, commitment, and community spirit of everyone involved.

Bringing together logistics and port professionals for a day of friendly competition and outstanding generosity, the event was a true celebration of camaraderie and giving back.

Jason Flower, Chair of the FPUA, commented:
“The generosity and support shown each year continues to amaze us. We’re proud not only of the total raised but also of the fantastic sense of community that surrounds this event. Whether you played, sponsored, donated, or helped behind the scenes, thank you. Thanks to the generosity of headline sponsor Freightliner, as well as support from Maritime Transport, Grange Shipping, Clarion Events (Multimodal 2025), and many other contributing companies, this year’s event was one of the most successful yet.

Special thanks go to Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club for once again hosting and supporting the event. Their team and facilities help make the day such a standout success year after year.

We’re also delighted to confirm that Freightliner has already offered to return as the headline sponsor for 2026, with Maritime continuing as the prize sponsor, Grange Shipping as the breakfast sponsor and Clarion Events/Multimodal once again supporting the popular 19th hole. Their continued backing ensures the event can continue to grow from strength to strength and maintain its meaningful community impact.

With the proceeds going directly to initiatives focused on wellbeing, inclusion, education, and health, the FPUA Charity Golf Day continues to make a lasting impact in and around the Port of Felixstowe.
