About FPUA

Established in 1969, the Felixstowe Port Users’ Association Ltd (FPUA) is a pro-active, independent body for companies who conduct business activity in or through the Port of Felixstowe. It has over 100 members, representing the various sectors within the Port community.

 

Membership is on a Category basis with each having its own Representative. Category 1 is for Shipping Lines, Category 2 is for Freight Forwarders, Category 3 is for Hauliers, Category 4 is for ERTS/Warehouse Keepers and Category 5 is for other port-related companies and suppliers. Including, solicitors, logistics software providers, maintenance and repair operatives.

Jason's Profile

Jason has worked for KWL Logistics (formally Hudig UK) since 1997 and took on the role of Director in 2002. He started work in Shipping & Forwarding in 1987 and has covered all aspects of transportation. He gained experience with some of the major shipping lines during his career but decided to progress with Forwarding as he preferred a more challenging job. He would recommend Forwarding as a career and is keen to promote the industry.

Tony's Profile

Tony joined Cosco Shipping over 30 years ago, progressing to a management role within seven years. In 2009 he was appointed Deputy General Manager responsible for all of Cosco’s UK port activity. From September 2020, Coso Shipping expanded Tony’s remit to include UK transport and equipment.

He has been the FPUA’s category one representative for eight years.

Andrew's Profile

Andrew has worked for multi-national and small independent freight forwarders over nearly 13 years and has recently reached 10 years of service at Grange Shipping.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers by examination and has worked with importers, exporters, agents, shipping lines, ports and vessel owners throughout his career.

Ian's Profile

Ian is a business and IT specialist who started in the shipping industry 30 years ago for Anglo European/DSR Senator Lines, followed by Fred Olsen and Safmarine as Y2K UK Project Leader.

In 2014 he acquired MultiFreight Ltd, a leading provider of software solutions to the industry specialising in freight, UK customs, and warehouse management software.

He has seen both sides of the industry and hopes to use his Category 5 position to help members partner with the best port-related service suppliers.
