Record results in 2025
As part of the Association’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community, our flagship fundraising events—the annual Golf Day and Christmas Charity Ball—remain central to our charitable efforts. These highly anticipated occasions continue to grow, driven by the remarkable generosity and steadfast support of our members.
In 2023, despite ongoing geopolitical and economic challenges faced by businesses, the Association proudly announced that a total of £14,000 was raised through the Christmas Charity Ball and the 2024 Golf Day. This momentum carried into 2025, with our record-breaking Golf Day in May raising an outstanding £13,000 for our chosen charities.
Later that year, the FPUA Christmas Charity Ball, in partnership with BIFA, raised an impressive £11,000. Collectively, these events meant that in 2025 alone, the Association raised £24,000 — a truly remarkable achievement.
These results powerfully showcase the dedication, kindness, and community spirit of our members, who consistently go above and beyond to support those in need. A sincere thank you to everyone who participated in, attended, sponsored, or supported these events — especially the FPUA committee, whose time, commitment, and behind-the-scenes efforts are essential to their ongoing success.
Since Jason took on the role of Chair in 2017, the Association has raised over £91,000 for charitable causes. This milestone highlights what can be achieved when the industry unites with a common purpose. We look forward to maintaining this proud tradition of giving and hope to see many of you at our upcoming fundraising events.
FPUA Christmas Charity Ball

The FPUA Christmas Charity Ball is a glamorous event with a well-earned reputation for kicking off the festive season. This black-tie occasion is one of Felixstowe’s most celebrated charity events, bringing together guests for an evening of fine dining, excellent hospitality, and fundraising that genuinely makes a difference.
The 2025 Christmas Charity Ball, held at Milsoms, showcased the incredible power of community spirit – raising an impressive £11,000 for Brave Futures and EACH. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, and helped make the night a remarkable success.
Save the date: the next FPUA Christmas Charity Ball will be held on Friday, 4 December 2026, at Milsoms, Kesgrave Hall. Prices are to be confirmed, but we encourage members and supporters to mark their diaries now.

Thanks to the generosity of our members and their guests, the Association has supported many local charities over the years, including St Elizabeth Hospice, Home-Start, and Ipswich Hospital, as well as numerous other worthwhile causes across the region.
FPUA Charity Golf Day
Members and Non-Members
Established in 2019, our Charity Golf Day proved so popular that it quickly became a firm date in our fundraising calendar.
Held at the award-winning Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club, the event is open to members and non-members. Teams of four can be formed.
The 2024 Golf Day was successfully held on another sunny and glorious day, raising £9,000 for local causes and charities.
2024’s grateful beneficiaries include Trimley St Martin Primary School, Felixstowe Carnival Association and Felixstowe Seafarers Association.
The 2025 Golf Day raised a record-breaking £13,000 for a range of local charities.

The seventh Charity Golf Day will be on Wednesday 14th October 2026.
