Essential maintenance and improvements on A12, A11, A14 and A120 in Essex and Suffolk

Maintenance work on A14 Junctions 40 to 43 / A14 Orwell to 62 / A120 Hare Green Roundabout / A120 Marks Farm to Marks Tey / A12 Junction 32B

A120 Hare Green Roundabout Harwich Road Improvement
Site investigations and clearance works will continue throughout the week.


A14 J40 to J43 Resurfacing – this work will continue from 8 January
Resurfacing eastbound between junction 40 to junction 43 continues this week. The diversion route is from junction 38 onto the A11, and then onto the A1101and back to the A14 junction 43.


A14 Orwell to J62
Resurfacing eastbound between junction 55 and junction 59 continues this week. A clearly signed diversion will be in place to divert traffic onto A1214, A1189 and A1156, then to Felixstowe Road and High Road through Trimley St Martin and back to Junction 59.


A120 Marks Farm to Marks Tey
High friction surfacing, road marking renewal and sign replacement work east and westbound between Marks Farm and Marks Tey, with a clearly signed diversion route utilising the A131 and A12.


A12 J32B Central Reserve Safety Fence
Replacing the central reserve safety fence along the A12 near Capel St Mary. Work takes place 8pm to 6am Monday to Friday, with a lane closure of both carriageways and a 40mph speed restriction through the worksite.
