We have received the following information from Kier Highways Services:

Important roadworks information

A14 eastbound Orwell Bridge, Ipswich: technology maintenance

Kier will be carrying out technology maintenance works at the above location, on behalf of Highways England. It is planned to complete this work over one night, on Tuesday 30 October, with working hours of 8pm and 6am, weather permitting. Please note that details of this works are correct at the time of sending and may be subject to change.

A full closure on the A14 Orwell bridge eastbound will be in place during these works.  A map showing the road closure and diversion route can be found below.

Diversion route

A clearly signed diversion route will be in place diverting eastbound traffic via A14 junction 55 Copdock Interchange, A1214 to Martlesham, A12 southbound, before re-joining the A14 at junction 58 Seven Hills Interchange.
