Presentation of donation to Port Community Fund

At the EGM held at the Elizabeth Orwell Hotel on Tuesday 17th November 2009, the Chairman of Felixstowe Port Users' Association, Mr Simon Fraser,  was pleased to be able to present a cheque for £2,500 to the Port Community Fund.  The donation was received by Derek Johnson, Chairman of the Fund.  Upon receiving the cheque Mr Johnson, on behalf of the Fund, thanked all the Members of the Association for "this superb gesture, which will clearly be put towards helping Local Charity causes."

 The money had been raised from the Raffle at the 2008 Charity Christmas Ball. 

It is hoped to raise a similar sum for the Fund again this year at the forthcoming Ball on 4th December.
