Structure

The Association is run by a Council, which consists of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and five Category Representatives.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected by the entire membership on a yearly basis. Category Representatives are elected by the members of their Category, again on a yearly basis.

The five Categories, representing the different port industry sectors, are:

• Category 1 Shipping Lines

• Category 2 Freight Forwarders

• Category 3 Hauliers

• Category 4 ERTS/Warehouse Keepers

• Category 5 Port Related Services

All the FPUA officers give their time voluntarily, free of charge.

The Association is non-profit making, with a minimal annual subscription to cover its administration costs.
