Simon is Managing Director of Lombard Shipping plc.
Vice Chairman - Ole Krebs
Ole represented the FPUA's category 5 members for several years and has been the MCP liaison to the FPUA for longer than he cares to remember. He has worked for MCP plc for over 20 years and prior to that worked for some 12 years in the ships agency business. Ole came to the UK in 1978 - ostensibly to gain frontline agency experience for a six month period after having completed his apprenticeship with a major ship owner in Copenhagen - but, as they say, he liked the place so much and has witnessed first hand the phenomenal change and growth of and at the Port of Felixstowe ever since.
Category 1 Representative - Neil Jones
Neil has worked for Mediterranean Shipping company since 1984 in a number of roles. Since 1997 he has been the General Manager responsible for the terminal operations in Felixstowe (along with the company's operations in 5 other UK ports). He has represented the shipping line agents at the FPUA since 2006.
Category 2 Representative - Jason Flower
Jason has worked for KWL Logistics (formally Hudig UK) since 1997 and took on the role of Director in 2002. He started work in Shipping & Forwarding in 1987 and has covered all aspects of transportation. He gained experience with some of the major shipping lines during his career but decided to progress with Forwarding as he preferred a more challenging job. He would recommend Forwarding as a career and is keen to promote the industry.
Categpry 3 Representative - Matthew Ashworth
Matthew was a founding member of Goldstar Transport after a successful career with Russell Davies and then Securicor, where he was Operations Director. He has over 30 years experience in the industry covering all aspects of road transport and is a strong believer in "Simple is best". He is well known in the transport community for his honest and forthright approach.
Category 4 Representative - Malcolm Dodd
Malcolm is General Manager – South of PD Logistics Felixstowe and is responsible for all aspects of the business, operational, commercial and profitability. His previous companies were BRS, Exel Logistics, Taylor Barnard and TNT Logistics with responsibility for budgets of up to £35m and roles ranging from branch manager, area and regional operations to account manager of large logistics operations for blue chip retailers and manufacturers. He has a business Masters degree and is a member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Category 5 Representative - Miles Vartan
Miles is a senior operational and programme change manager, with extensive Health and Safety experience, developed within warehousing, manufacturing and supply chain industries.
